INTRODUCING 321 ARTISTS COACH
When I started off as an artist manager at 18, I had no idea what I was doing, looking back, I can only laugh otherwise I’d cry. I taught myself as I went along, but I knew how much I would have appreciated someone guiding me or someone I could message when I had a question, or an email I wasn’t sure how to respond to.
I think artist management is becoming a lot more accessible, people are just asking their mates to manage them, or they end up helping out and suddenly realise they’re doing the job of a manager. And that can be pretty overwhelming.
We also receive a lot of emails from artists asking us to manage them, and we’re gutted we don’t have the time to work with everyone who gets in contact. We also get a lot of emails from managers, or people aspiring to become managers, asking us for advice.
We’ve been thinking for a long time how we can support more people who get in contact us. And we’ve decided we want to bring these people together… this is where we introduce our new 321 Artists Coach programme.
321 Artists Coach is a six month coaching programme where we will mentor an artist and manager pairing, and provide guidance, support and advice to the pairing, give them the extra pair of hands and knowledge they may need in order to succeed further.
We want this initiative to help as many people as possible. If I had this opportunity when I was starting out as a manager, I would have taken it with both hands. And it was important for me to make sure other people weren’t put off management because they thought it was too pressuring or overwhelming because if I hadn’t of had a certain level of determination, I probably would have done the same, and we can’t afford for people to give up in this industry. We need to be nurturing the next generation, not making their lives harder.
If you’re interested in finding out more about 321 Artists Coach, you can view our product page here. We only have 5 spaces available for the programme at a time to make sure we can really put the time and effort in.
We want to make a difference.
